IGP Promotes 25 Police Personnel for Successful Robbery and Cocaine Interception Operations

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has promoted 25 police personnel in recognition of their outstanding roles in a series of successful security operations.

The personnel were commended for their involvement in operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected armed robbery perpetrators and the interception of suspected cocaine at the Tema Harbour.

According to reports, the operations demonstrated the commitment and professionalism of the officers in tackling serious criminal activities and protecting the public.

The promotions are seen as a significant boost to the morale of the officers and an encouragement to other personnel to remain dedicated to their duties.

The IGP’s decision also highlights the Ghana Police Service’s continued efforts to strengthen its fight against organised crime, robbery and illicit drug trafficking.

The 25 personnel are expected to continue serving with the same level of commitment and professionalism as they take on their new responsibilities.
