Dennis Miracles Aboagye released from EOCO custody after satisfying GHS50m bail condition
Dennis Miracles Aboagye has been released from the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) after successfully meeting the conditions of his GH¢50 million bail.
The former Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD) was arrested in connection with EOCO’s ongoing investigation into the alleged misappropriation of approximately GH¢55 million in public funds.
He was initially granted bail of GH¢50 million with three sureties, two of whom were required to justify their assets. His lawyers had earlier described the bail conditions as difficult to satisfy, resulting in him remaining in custody temporarily. However, he has now fulfilled the bail requirements and has been released while investigations continue.

Dennis Miracles Aboagye, former Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD), has been released from EOCO custody after meeting the conditions of his GH¢50 million bail.
Aboagye was arrested as part of investigations into the alleged misappropriation of about GH¢55 million in public funds. He had remained in custody after his legal team initially failed to satisfy the bail requirements, which included three sureties, two of whom were required to justify their assets.
His release does not end the investigation, as EOCO says inquiries into the alleged financial and procurement irregularities are ongoing.
