
Ghanaian security forces apprehended more than 100 individuals suspected of engaging in cybercrime in Tabora and Lashibi, focusing on mobile money and email fraud. The accused, primarily Nigerian citizens, along with a landlord who provided them accommodation, will be prosecuted in accordance with Ghanaian legislation. As stated by the Communications Minister, Sam George, this intelligence-driven operation occurred on Saturday (December 27, 2025) as a result of a partnership between the Ghana Police Service, National Security, and the headquarters of the Ghana Immigration Service.
